I'm sure I'm not alone in finding it hard being a working mum. Whether you work a couple of hours a week, or have 3 jobs alongside looking after your children, there is always that balancing act of wanting to do well at everything. And of course, then there's the guilt!
I love my jobs - all 3 of them! But it is such a juggling act, trying to do the best for my children, whilst doing my best in my jobs to provide a good life for them.
So I thought, why don't I try to share some top tips with fellow Mums, and perhaps they'll share some of theirs with me? So here's the first two of mine, and I hope to share more over the coming weeks. Please feel free to share yours with me, as a comment below, on facebook or tweet me, either fun ones like the first one below, or more serious practical ones about balancing family life and working life.
Top Tip Number 1:
Always keep the hoover or duster out near the front door. That way, if anyone comes round and the house isn't clean you can casually say, 'Oh you just caught me about to do the cleaning!'
Top Tip Number 2:
If necessary, schedule time in the week for family time. Whilst in a perfect world this shouldn't be necessary, we all know how life tends to take over and before you know it it's been a week and you haven't stopped to spend time just doing something fun with your kids and partner. So put a time in your diary each week if you need to just to have fun!
