Well, Thursday was my first Crafty Night In and what a buzz! It was a bit of a squeeze and hectic to say the least, but how fab to have 10 crafters all in the same house enjoying crafting, lots of tea and plenty of chat! Have to say I hadn't quite anticipated how tricky it is teaching 6 people 6 different projects all at the same time, but I don't think anyone felt too neglected!
We had such a range of items being made - paintings, cross stitch, scarves, bookmarks, hairclip holders, nappy grab bags, cushions and even a Superman cape!
I also find it fascinating how 10 'strangers' (a couple of whom knew each other before hand) managed to find so many links. The whole 6 degrees of separation thing seemed so true! Conversation revolved around - 'well I know so and so' 'Oh so do I!', or discoveries that our children know each other through nurseries, clubs, schools etc and we never even knew!
My next dilemma is what do I do if I have even more people wanting to come? Anyone got a large comfortable mansion I can borrow twice a month?!
